Renew loves working in the villages of the North Country and Adirondacks, as well as their work in more rural or rustic settings. The main project shown here is an addition to the rear of a house in the village of Potsdam, designed to blend in seamlessly. It includes an expanded kitchen and sitting area, and a new master bedroom suite. Note the use of the stone details, that complements the client's interest in geology! Other projects show tweaks and construction designed to fit right in to the fabric of village architecture.
”We needed an architect to work with us on a significant addition to our newly purchased home that was originally built in about 1880. This also included a renovation of part of the house. We wanted someone who could understand our needs and our taste, who could keep the original exterior style of the house while modernizing the interior additions, and who had solid experience with local contractors. Rebecca Weld proved to be perfect for us. She listened to us and she also made good suggestions for some things that we hadn't thought about. We now have a beautiful new kitchen/family room, master bedroom, master bath, laundry, new rear staircase, new access to the basement, and a series of closets. The final product was amazing! We are very happy with the result and have great appreciation for her contribution to it. Rebecca took some wonderful photos of the house that I believe she will put up on her Web site for all to see. We recommend her highly." -Potsdam Village Addition Clients
